Here is what visitors are saying aboutThe Jewish Identity Project...

"Wow! Excellent peek into our diversity - and there is so much more! This makes me feel REAL - I am Jewish and Catholic and I embrace parts of both - it's REALLY ME! Thank you!" "Very interesting - moving and thought provoking. Images visually stunning." "It was beautifully presented and personally thought provoking as well as artistically inspiring." "Wonderful depiction of the cultural diversity of the Jewish people." "I encourage each one of you to visit the exhibition and enjoy the guided tour. For teens...and college students, I would say it is a must for them to go through the identity quest and the hunt for the answers that might change with age and circumstances! The exhibit opens one's eyes to see others' perceptive views and ways of expression." Organized by The Jewish Museum, New York, The Jewish Identity Project: New American Photography features new work by thirteen emerging and mid-career artists who were commissioned by the Museum to create ten projects focusing on different Jewish communities. The result is a remarkable exploration of the racial, social and ethnic diversity of Jews throughout the United States. The exhibition challenges the stereotype that all Jews are white, middle-class, and of European decent, and it inspires us to examine our own sense of identity in an increasingly intercultural world |
